This is where you should find answers to the most common questions prospective participants might have. It’s a good idea to cover things like your return policy, product warranty info, shipping and returns, etc. Check out the examples below.
I’ve never raced before, is this really for me?
Absolutely!! At ShredFest we’re all about the fun regardless if you’re a seasoned campaigner or just wanting to give it a go for the first time. There are lots of activities you can participate in, bring your bike, hang out and have fun. If you want to participate in any of the scheduled events you will need a valid license from BMXA for the BMX racing, and a valid MTBA license for the Enduro, Pump Track and Whip Off.
Is there going to be catering on site?
Of course! The Manly Warringah BMX Club is known for the tastiest burgers and catering at events. ShredFest will be no different. There will be plenty to eat and drink. Remember – ShredFest is and environmentally friendly event, all waste will be recycled appropriately and no single use plastic bottles will be sold, so bring your own refillable water bottles to the event.
What facilities are there on site?
There are men’s and women’s public toilets on site and an appropriate amount of port-a-loos will be provided as well.
ShredFest aims to minimise any impact on the environment and will be a single use plastic bottle free event, please bring your own refillable containers for drinking water. Drinking water will be available in addition to canteen supplies.
The safety of all competitors, volunteers and the public is our top priority. Qualified first aid personnel will be on site and the Northern Beaches Hospital will be notified in advance of the event so they are prepared for the worst case scenario of someone needing additional care.
Can I come and watch?
Of course you can. ShredFest is for everyone! There are loads of things to do and see even if you’re not on your bike. Just come, hang out and have fun.
Preparing for a festival such as ShredFest takes a lot of work from volunteers who all put in their own time to ensure everyone has a great time. The Manly Warringah BMX Club and the Garigal Gorillas Mountain Biking Club, as co-organisers of the event, are both non-profit community sporting clubs. Any revenue earned from this event goes back into the community in the way of improved facilities and events. Due to this, and the low entry fees, refunds will not be granted in the event of bad weather, running late, equipment failure or for any other reason.
